Katherine Dolce

Katherine Dolce was in awe of her classmates in high school when she saw them playing basketball on a dirt court. Dolce is now 100 years old, she began playing basketball in her 70s. She noted that she followed in those classmates’ footsteps. Dolce attended the state 2024 Summer Senior Olympic games in Las Cruces, N.M. where she was registered for shuffleboard and javelin. In 2025, she will be participating in shuffleboard, basketball skills and is adding Huachas (washers) to her skillset. Dolce said what she likes the best about the games is it gives seniors the opportunity to do something special and she hopes the games continue to be offered.
