Nationals Update

New Mexico understands the Nationals Seniors Games Office has secured funds to refund the outstanding 2001 Registration Game fees owed to athletes. With your refund you received a free membership in the NSGA through December 2003. This means those of you who received a 2001 refund and then qualified for Nationals this year will not have to pay $25 to become a member when you register for the 2003 Games. Plans for New Mexico Seniors to travel to the the 2003 National Senior Games as a Group, as we have done in past years, will be developed by the NMSO Board of Directors. Athletes that qualified for Nationals can expect a mailing from NMSO regarding group travel before the Christmas Holiday. The initial plans are to have two Group travel plans; one group will travel to the Games the first part of the Games; prior to and including Opening Ceremony and the Second Group arrive Saturday before the Opening Ceremony and stay til the end of the Games. Opening Ceremonies are held mid Games.

We would encourage you to be looking at the Game Schedule and familiarize yourself before we ask for a commitment to travel with the New Mexico Group. For those Athletes who want to make their own individual travel plans are encouraged to call ANTHONY TRAVEL direct at 1-800-736-6377 and view Game information, including rules at www.nationalseniorgames.org.
